90-Year-Old Thought Her Knitting Wasn’t Up To Par… These Strangers Think Otherwise!

An elderly woman with poor vision made the most adorable sock animal, but she wasn’t satisfied with her own knitting skills. However, her caregiver, Colin, thought that the handmade critter was fantastic! It made him sad to think that the 90-year-old woman didn’t like her own creation after all the work she put into it. So, he shared a photo of her sock animal on X in the hopes of changing her mind.

“A 90 year old lady I look after with bad vision spent 3 months making this,” wrote Colin in his post. “She doesn’t think it’s good. I think it’s amazing and full of character. Let’s show her how good it is…”

Tons of users flocked to the comments section to let the elderly knitter know that they loved her sock animal.

“This is so amazing I would want one for sure!” one person wrote.

“Better than anything I could produce that’s for sure,” said another. “It would make a lovely toy for an infant.”

While Colin certainly got the positive feedback he’d hoped for, the story doesn’t end there! His next step was to handwrite all of these beautiful comments about the sock animal in a book which he would then present to the 90-year-old. He posted an update to X showing the finished product!
