8-Year-Old Golfer Steals Show at the 2026 Master’s

Frankie Fleetwood

Tommy Fleetwood is one of the truly incredible golfers. According to the Official World Golf Ranking, he’s the fifth-best golfer in the world right now. He’s got millions of fans who adore him and love to watch him play. Of course, there is one fan in particular who really studies Tommy and hopes to one day grow up to be just like him. Tommy’s son, Frankie Fleetwood, went viral in 2025 after missing the green during the Par 3 Contest at the Master’s tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Even though he tried his hardest, he still didn’t make it. This year, he hoped for a better result.

Frankie Fleetwood Did His Best to Stay Humble

The 8-year-old told ESPN’s Marty Smith he wasn’t sure how things would work out on the ninth green this year.

“Not so confident, but honestly on the range this afternoon felt good, so I feel like I’ve got a chance,” Frankie said. “I’m still trying.”

Frankie Fleetwood did his best, but his first shot ended up in the pond. The crowd roared, truly wanting this sweet little boy to make it on the green. But his second shot also fell short, ending in a pretty disappointing day for Frankie. But in a postgame interview, he kept it classy and kind, which fans loved.

“I love the way he leans on his club; he’ll have a green jacket on in a few years,” someone predicted.

Others know that Frankie Fleetwood’s moment will come and they can’t wait.

“When it goes on, imagine the cheer. I’m going to go to the masters purely to watch Frankie,” a fan wrote.

“’When we get back here, I’ll see if I can do it’ no fluff, no sugar coating, kid calls it like he sees it. When he gets it on the green, the world will erupt and I’m ready for it,” another person added.
