When a woman noticed her co-worker, Laurie Rabyor, slumped over her steering wheel as the vehicle inched its way to the middle of a busy intersection, she didn’t have much time to think about what to do next.

That’s why, in an instant, she found herself running toward the car in an effort to stop it, all the while directing traffic to go around them. As people in nearby cars took notice, several of them left their own vehicles to help.
Once these kind strangers were able to get the car to stop, one of them got a dumbbell from their car so they could smash a window and get inside. From there, they were able to put the car in park and push it to a nearby 7-Eleven parking lot where they waited for first responders to arrive.
Turns out, Laurie had a “medical episode,” but is doing better now thanks to these heroic strangers! The Boynton Beach Police Department shared footage of their rescue on Facebook in hopes of identifying these good Samaritans, something that was easy to do thanks to the video going viral!
In a press conference organized by the police, all eight heroes were honored: Jannette Rivera, Juan Chavez, Jr., Michael Edelstein, David Formica, DaVida Peele, Marko Bartolone and Muriel Vaughns.
“Thank you to our community and business partners who helped us make today so special for these heroes,” the Boynton Beach Police Department wrote. “Funding Network for the cake, Christ Fellowship for the chocolate pretzels, Shading Source for the flowers and Royal Caribbean International, who gifted all of them with a 6-8 night Caribbean Cruise and $2,000 gift card!”
Watch Jannette, Juan, Michel, David, DaVida, Marko, and Muriel heroically save a life below, and don’t forget to share.
