6-Yr-Old With Leukemia Gets Surprise Visit From His Favorite Superhero — Spider-Man!

Spiderman visits a boy with leukemia in the hospital.

A little boy in Italy received the surprise of a lifetime: a visit from Spiderman! At age 6, Brayan had already been fighting leukemia for several years. While the boy was being treated at Regina Margherita Hospital in Turin, volunteer Spiderman cosplayer Mattia Villardita showed up in costume to raise his spirits! When Brayan saw who had come to visit, he immediately gave the superhero a big hug.

Mattia didn’t just stop by for photos with the little boy, although the pair got plenty of those, as well. During Spiderman’s visit, he played games with Brayan and showed off some of his coolest crime-fighting moves! The boy’s mom, Francesca Cantello, shared some of the sweet moments on Facebook.

According to America Domani, Mattia Villardita has a day job, but he chooses to spend his spare time dressing up as Spiderman to visit sick children. He’s unfortunately no stranger to hospitals, as he suffers from chronic illness himself.

“My grandfather was the first to give me a Spiderman’s comic magazine and since then I kept on dreaming about him entering through the window to address a comforting word,” he told the platform.

Now, Mattia brings that daydream to life for children like Brayan as often as he can! Spiderman certainly made a big difference with his visit to this little boy with leukemia.

Fictional superheroes often offer hope when times are tough! That’s why hospital visits from these crimefighters are so magical for young patients. You can see more heroic visits from Mattia Villardita’s Spiderman on Instagram.
