6-Yr-Old Finally Gets To “Level Up” From Cancer — And Meet Her Favorite Disney Princess!

Aubrey English and Princess Tiana

Watching a child endure cancer treatments is devastating for all involved.

Mom Mikeon White English of Fairburn, Georgia is a pediatric nurse, but even her training and experience couldn’t prepare her for helping her daughter Aubrey recover. Aubrey was diagnosed just before her third birthday, but her bright, shining spirit never dimmed even in the darkest days of her treatment!

In 2018, Aubrey was in the hospital when her mother captured video of her dancing along to “Level Up” by Ciara. Aubrey loved dancing to Ciara’s song, and like many little ones she adores Disney princesses too. In fact, her family even made her a princess bed for the hospital room so she’d feel like royalty while fighting cancer!

“Dear childhood cancer, just so you know, I won’t give up,” her mom wrote as a caption to the video. “I won’t give in. You won’t take my spirit. You won’t take my spunk. You may be in my life but you don’t have my life.”

Aubrey’s fighting spirit was a big hit online, where the video went viral. The toddler wound up inspiring millions with her positive attitude and conviction that her cancer was just a blip on the radar.

When Ciara saw the viral video and learned how her song helped Aubrey in her fight, she reached out to “Good Morning America,” a Disney company, to see if they could arrange a surprise for her once she got better. They agreed, and Aubrey and her family were given a free trip to Disney!

“Oh my goodness. I’m in tears right now. Aubrey, I just want to say that you are a superhero. You are the real superhero,” Ciara told Aubrey via video conference. “And I’m so impressed by your strength and how you never gave up in your battle against cancer. You inspire me and so many people and so many others. You are a real ‘Level Up’ princess so keep leveling up and inspiring so many, Aubrey. I’m so proud of you and rooting for you always.”

Aubrey is now 3 years in remission and was finally able to meet her favorite Disney princess! Her whole family had a wonderful day in the park, and we’re sure they spent the entire time counting their many blessings.
