This is an incredible story of survival and love during a trying period of time. In the face of certain death an incredible triumph occured.
Trevor Frolek, born August 2014, came into the world 23 weeks (almost 6 months) early, weighing only 1 pound, 6 oz. Because he was born so prematurely, things did not look good for the baby – he was extremely underdeveloped and doctors said the chances of survival were right around zero.

The moment he came into the world, he was put on life support, followed by intense surgeries on his tiny heart and eyes. Trevor’s body was actually so small dad could fit his wedding ring around his foot. Needless to say, it was a tough and grueling start to this sweet baby’s life.

“The doctor told us it was going to be a roller coaster ride. We were going to have our good days and we’re going to have our bad days,”said Trevor’s father, Bo, to Fox News.

But because of a team of dedicated medical professionals who fought with determination for Trevor’s life and a family there to support him every minute of every day, something amazing happened…

On his 345th day in the hospital, almost a year after his birth, Trevor’s parent’s were finally able to bring him home (for the first time in a year – and since he was born). Even though every doctor and medical book predicted Trevor couldn’t and wouldn’t make it, this amazing little boy proved them wrong.

“It’s just a complete miracle. The doctors and nurses have worked so hard to get him to this point. It’s beyond amazing,”mom Becky told TODAY.
Now this micropreemie is safe at home with his big sister, mom and dad, enjoying life one day at a time!
