“You Gotta Walk Big … Like Dolly On A Dinosaur.” Mom Shares 5-Yr-Old Son’s Hilariously Good Advice For Rough Times: “Think About The Donuts Of Your Day!”

You know the saying, “out of the mouths of babes?” Well, if mother and Twitter user StressieBessie didn’t believe it before, she does now!

While chatting with her 5-year-old son one morning on the way to school, she mentioned she was feeling a little anxious about a meeting she had that day. Lucky for StressieBessie, her abnormally wise and hilariously optimistic son had some fantastic advice to share!

When talking about our agendas for the day, I told my 5yo I was a little nervous about a meeting I have today. He said, “Mama, I am nervous all the time. I know what to do.”So friends, here is all the advice he could fit into the drive to school:
1. “You gotta say your affirmations in your mouth and your heart. You say, ‘I am brave of this meeting!’ , ‘I am loved!’, ‘I smell good!’ And you can say five or three or ten until you know it.â€
2. “You gotta walk big. You gotta mean it. Like Dolly on a dinosaur. Because you got it.â€
3. “Never put a skunk on a bus.â€
4. “Think about the donuts of your day! Even if you cry a little, you can think about potato chips!â€
5. “You gotta take a deep breath and you gotta do it again.â€
6. “Even if it’s a yucky day, you can get a hug.â€

Thanks to this precocious kiddo, we have some new life mottos! We’re sure his mom was just as encouraged. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to go think about donuts and potato chips and hugs.

Share this excellent advice with your friends and help them have a better day, too!
