An Australian-based charity named Cake Angels is spreading joy to sick children all over the continent with very special pastries: custom, beautifully decorated “Angel” cakes.
By matching ill children with either professional cake decorators or those who simply have a passion for the culinary arts, they are making so much more than deserts. These cakes provide a (sometimes much-needed) smile to children who are suffering; the cakes make these kids’ birthday celebrations a little more special.
Each child gets to pick a theme for their cake before it’s made based on their interests, favorite characters or hobbies. That could be Mario and Minnie Mouse or Poseidon and a princess tower. Whatever they want! Check out a few of the Cake Angels creations below.
