2-Year-Old Has the Sweetest Idea About Where Babies Come from That Will Melt Your Heart

Amazon Baby

Having a conversation with kids about where babies come from is one that most parents dread. If you’re expecting another baby, older siblings might start asking questions. The younger they are, the easier it is to make up a story that will ease their minds. It’s those older kids who start asking the real questions that make you sweat. Sometimes, little kids come up with their own ideas about babies, and it’s the cutest things ever. Esther Ober was pregnant with her second son, Samuel, when her older son, Elijah, was 2. The family had just moved into a house, with lots of boxes to unpack and packages arriving daily, according to People. That gave little Elijah an idea. He started focusing his energy on the front window because he thought his baby brother would arrive any day as part of an Amazon delivery.

He Never Did Get His Baby Brother in the Family’s Amazon Delivery

Watching her son wait for the Amazon delivery with his baby brother made his momma smile.

“Every time it wasn’t Samuel, he would shake his head with his cute little ‘not yet,’ ” she told People. “I thought it was a fun and playful way to let him build his excitement and be on alert for the baby, who could come any day. My oldest was born 2 weeks early, so we were on high alert.”

Esther shared the video on Instagram, and it went viral fast.

“It makes sense. For months and months Amazon delivers all the baby equipment, and once everything is ready, the house is ready and they can just drop off the baby,” someone commented.

“I kinda like his scenario. A lot less painful. Just hurt the pocketbook,” another person admitted.

Some people think Elijah’s onto something with Amazon baby delivery.

“I think many of us would have way more kids if it worked like this,” they wrote.

Samuel came two weeks late, and his mom said she wished she’d done one thing differently.

“My only regret is not staging a ‘delivery’ with the baby in a box on the porch for Elijah to find,” Esther said.
