1,000 High Schoolers Line Hotel Balconies, Sing Chill-Worthy “National Anthem.”

We’ve heard some incredible versions of the Star Spangled Banner, like this performance featuring a cop who filled in at the last second and blew everyone away! And we’ve also been amazed by some incredible choirs. Remember the 57-girl choir who amazed Britain’s Got Talent judges with a unique Irish routine? But we’ve never seen a choir or heard the National Anthem quite like this before!

Every year in Kentucky, an event is held in which approximately 1,000 students from all across the state gather together for a Kentucky Music Educators Association conference. The participating choirs are made up of the best high school singers. The All-State High School Chorus is the best of the best! At the end of each night of the conference, the young singers all gather on the balconies of the 18-story Hyatt hotel to sing the National Anthem.

The performance in the video below– recorded at the 2015 conference– will give you the biggest chills! Their a capella version of the song is slow and meaningful.

It’s hard to believe the singers are high school students; they sing with clarity and confidence… it’s no wonder they’re received with a thunderous round of applause!

Check out the chill-worthy, 1,000-student performance below.
