People around the world are spoiled with celebrations well-deserved once they begin reaching these ages; after all, it’s nearly an impossible feat! What is even more unheard of is having not just one twin, but both twins reach 100-years-old together!
On May 24th of this year, both Maria Pignaton Pontin and Paulina Pignaton Pandolfi celebrated their 100th birthday together.
When Brazilian photographer Camila Lima heard about their celebration coming up, she decided right away to reach out to the sisters and treat the birthday girls to a very special photo shoot.
For their special day, Maria and Paulina got dressed up in matching blue and pink fluffy tutus that will give you major tulle envy. They had their makeup and hair done and finished off the whole look with beautiful matching flower crowns that are fit for two queens.
Both twins loved posing for the camera and got so into their photo shoot that they even took turns taking pictures of each other.
According to Camila, between both sisters they have 11 children, 31 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
In fact, Paulina has not only overcome two heart attacks, but she has also fought a cancer battle and won.
These amazing women have built a legacy of huge families who have all had a chance to witness Maria and Paulina’s incredible strength throughout the years. What an amazing blessing!
Before they closed out the photo shoot for the day, Camila made sure to get a photograph of herself with the two 100-year-old twins. In an interview with HuffPost she said, “I had never met anyone who was 100 years old, let alone twins. I thought, this has to be recorded for eternity, so I contacted the family and offered to take photos.”
And we are so glad you did, Camila!
Share these picture perfect twins with your family!
