Homeless Man Asks Roofers For Job, Then Blows Them Away With His Work Ethic.

‘I have never seen anyone so happy to be at work.’

John spends his nights on a park bench in London with no real bed to sleep on. One day, a group of roofers were working on a nearby house and offered the homeless man a cup of tea. John accepted, then asked if they needed any help.

The next day, John showed up at the job site and ‘worked nonstop’ right alongside the full-time tradesmen. John was the first to show up that morning and the last to leave.

The roofers bought John a big meal from a local Burger King restaurant and he quietly ate with a look of complete contentment on his face.

They had agreed to pay John £15, which was enough to, ‘Get him through the week.’ But the boys couldn’t let him walk away with so little. They each pitched in and sent John off with £70 in his pocket and a job offer for the following Monday.

John told the roofers before leaving: “Thanks brothers, it’s the most love I’ve ever had.”

JayJay Murray, one of the roofers, posted the entire encounter to Facebook where it’s quickly gone viral,

“His gratitude was a real eye-opener. Keep going John, got to be something good around the corner. Nobody willing to work should be living on the streets.”

And the internet has been applauding their efforts ever since.

According to the Empire Roofing Facebook page, several people have offered John a place to stay for free after reading the post. Sharing his story online, the Hertfordshire roofing company said:

“We can’t believe how this selfless gesture from the Empire team has gone so far. “We couldn’t be prouder of the team, well done boys.”

Way to go boys! We’re pulling for you John.
