Probably one of the most romantic gestures that can ever happen for a woman is when her boyfriend gets down on on knee and asks her to be his wife. Most often the time and place is a complete surprise, and usually the place holds special meaning for the couple. From the honoring moment he kneels down to the magical feeling of the ring on your finger and your fiancé holding you… It just doesn’t get more romantic than that!
For one couple who were both working together on The Ellen Show, that magical moment happened during an actual taping of the show. Aaron Pinkston was working as the field producer and Jennifer Schoening was one of the wardrobe assistants for the show.
During the taping of an episode, Ellen was supposed to be skyping with Aaron who was filming live from Loyola University in Chicago. All of a sudden, the audio cuts out and Aaron disappears from the screen. The crew appears at Ellen’s side, trying to find out what could be going wrong, and that’s when Ellen requests that Jennifer come out and fix a wardrobe malfunction.

The truth was that Ellen was not having a wardrobe malfunction and there were not any technical difficulties that day. Instead, Ellen points to the side of the stage where Aaron is walking towards Jennifer dressed in a suit.
Jennifer didn’t have too long to be shocked by his appearance because immediately Aaron kneels down on one knee and asks her to be his wife. The excitement on their faces is so sweet, especially since Jennifer was genuinely surprised and thrown off by Aaron and Ellen’s little trick.
