Craig and Joan Lyons have known each other for the better part of 30 years. Little did Joan know, but Craig had been in love with her the whole time. “I fell in love with her as soon as I set my eyes on her when we were 14,”Craig told the Daily Mail. 18 months ago, Craig finally worked up the courage to tell Joan how he felt, and the two decided to get married as soon as possible.
Their newfound love was vibrant and strong, but there was another reason for their rush… Craig has terminal pancreatic cancer. In a heart-felt tribute to her groom and his battle, Joan decided to have her head shaved at their reception. “It was obviously the first time I had seen Joan without her hair and she looked beautiful, absolutely stunning,”Craig said. “She is the woman of my dreams.â€
