Covergirl Names 69-Yr-Old As Their Newest Model & Her Photos Are Stunning.

Dozens of successful models and celebrities have donned the cover of CoverGirl magazine, most of them young women. But last year, CoverGirl made a change.

Last fall, CoverGirl unveiled its first cover boy, followed by the first CoverGirl to wear a hijab. This year, the diversifying continues as they reveal the latest model: 69-year-old Maye Musk.

I’m so excited to say that I’m now officially a COVERGIRL! My three kids, ten grandchildren and I have had the hardest time trying to keep it a secret until today’s big announcement. Who knew, after many years of admiring the gorgeous COVERGIRL models, that I would be one at 69 years of age? It just shows, never give up. The announcement was made on Wednesday, and we could not be more excited. Musk is not only stunning, but she’s a fabulous example of beauty and poise at any age.

“Aging has been good for me,” Musk told the New York Times. “You develop confidence, you’re able to handle the knocks a little easier. I model for my age. I’m not trying to hide it and say I’m 50. I’m so proud that I’m going be 70.â€

So proud, in fact, that she stopped dying her brown locks once she turned 60. “I don’t dye my hair. It’s so fabulous.”And what happened when she let her gray show? “Suddenly I have all these editorials and bookings, and everybody is loving it.â€

But Musk is more than just a pretty face. She has 2 MS degrees, is a dietitian and a nutritionist, and has been modeling since age 15– that’s over 5 decades.

“I always modeled part time, thinking it would end. And it hasn’t, of course. ‘Just getting started’ is my hashtag.â€

Musk is also mom to three kids– and her family’s resumes are stacked.

There’s the entrepreneurs, Elon, billionaire founder of both PayPal and Tesla, and Kimbal, co-founder of The Kitchen Community and Square Roots, which are urban farming nonprofits. And her daughter Tosca, is a successful producer and director.

As far as Musks’ career goes, she has no plans on “disappearing” anytime soon: “People are living longer and enjoying their lives more and know they don’t have to disappear at 65 when they retire. I will never retire. My mom never retired. I’ll work until no one wants me anymore, and then I’ll find something else.â€
