8 Women Line Up By Pool, When ‘Queen’ Starts Playing It’s Dazzling!

synchronized team in neon costumes

At InspireMore, we’ve seen athletes from all over the world do incredible things. Johanna Quaas is 89 years old and the oldest gymnast alive according to the Guinness Book of Word Records. And who could forget when Dipa Karmakar performed a vault only two women in existence had landed.

In November 2009 the World Aquatic Championships were held in Ontario, Canada. Athletes from all over the world gathered to swim their way to glory that day, but one synchronized swimming team in particular really made a splash.

The team from the UK wore neon block printed costumes that certainly stood out. But when the music starts, all we can say is that they are utterly fantastic.

The eight women lined up together at the water’s edge. All was still in the stadium, until suddenly the echoing voice of Freddie Mercury came booming through the air. It was at this moment that everyone knew it would be a performance to remember.

For the next 90 seconds, the simpatico swim team ripped through the water like Queen sold albums. Do yourself a favor and check out the unforgettable routine in the video below.
