Thrifting has become more popular than ever — and we understand why. Finding something you love does take time and quite a bit of patience, of course. But in the end, it’s worth it for that one special item you simply must get! That said, it’s safe to say that some of us are particularly lucky when it comes to our thrift store finds. Megan helps run The Woven Home, a business that reimagines vintage furniture and decor. So, it’s no surprise that she’s an experienced thrifter. Still, even she was shocked by the painting she discovered recently at a local thrift store. Once she was able to take a good look at the art, it was clear that it wasn’t just any painting… see for yourself in the video below!

“I cannot believe that I am now the proud owner of this beautiful Syd Solomon piece of art from 1971,” Megan shares in a social media post. “This is my top Goodwill find yet and I cannot wait to see how I can style it!”
Syd Solomon Painting Finds Its Way to a Thrift Store, Much to the Delight of the Woman Who Discovers It
If you’re unaware, Syd Solomon was an American abstract painter. Although he wasn’t a household name, he did have a great impact on the world of art. In fact, it’s said that he was quick to adopt the then newly-developed medium of acrylic paint. He was born in 1917 and passed away in 2004.
It goes to show that you never know what treasures you’ll find at a thrift store. While we can’t all find something of rare or great value, like a bracelet that’s worth $25K, you just might be surprised by what catches your eye.
