Travis Wall first came to the world’s attention in 2006, when he was just 18 years old. He performed a stunningly beautiful dance that left judges’ jaws on the floor during season two of “So You Think You Can Dance.â€

He placed second that season, but with so much talent and a near-genius eye for choreography, we knew that wouldn’t be the last we’d see of him. Indeed, he was invited back for the show’s 100th episode in 2009, then appeared as a contestant again several years later with Amy Yakima, who went on to win the female category that season!

With that kind of pairing? You know you’re in for a treat. And boy did they deliver, with an incredibly intricate and flawless performance to a cover of Chris Isaak’s timeless hit, “Wicked Game.”
It’s not surprising the piece was choreographed by Travis himself, and that the movements he included were designed to highlight the grace and seamlessness of this art form.

The two seem to float throughout the two-minute performance, then Amy defies the laws of gravity near the end when she takes a running leap and literally flies through the air into Travis’s arms!

Of all the judges who gushed about the performance, Jenna Elfman perhaps summed it up best:
Travis, it’s perfection! Your choreography is perfection, it’s so full of artistry, every moment. And Amy, you’re an angel, but you’re technically perfect but you’re so full of heart and soul and you communicate emotion so effortlessly. The world is such a better place because of you.
