It seems that a huge part of parenting is finding a healthy balance between keeping your kids safe and allowing them to try new things… even when there is some level of risk. As a family of adventurers, the Rowley’s understand this well. The three of them absolutely love to travel and snowboard. This includes their brave 7-year-old girl, Cash. But nobody is perfect. And the more moves she tries, the more likely it is that she’ll make mistakes. Her biggest yet was caught on camera. Now, Cash’s parents are using this as an opportunity to educate others on how they can best stay calm and helpful in similar situations. You can watch this viral video for yourself below.
“Crashes are hard to watch, but the reality is that they do happen. Especially when you are trying new things,” the caption of their post reads. “In order to let little Cash follow her heart and fly we have to put our fear aside and let her push herself how she wants.”
With that said, Cashy’s parents also recognize the importance of staying safe. Luckily, Dad is both first aid and first responder certified. So, using his training, he was able to examine Cash, ensuring that she didn’t have signs of major injuries to her spine or neck. But they didn’t just help her physically — they helped her emotionally, too.

“We sat on the side of that jump line for a good 30 minutes checking everything, taking deep breaths and then eventually laughing,” their post continues. “Once we all, Cash included, determined that she was fine she went off to smash the rest of this long run to the lift. Not only did she get herself down to the lift, she wanted to go back and have another go at the jumps!”
It’s amazing what’s possible when given the right amount of support and care!
