This Adorable Dog With An Extra-Long Snoot Has The Internet Falling In Love.

Do not adjust your screens! That’s not an anteater at the local dog park, it’s most likely a Russian borzoi.

Borzois are large sighthounds that are sometimes described as “long-haired greyhounds.” One of their most recognizable characteristics is their long noses and narrow faces, but a dog named Tupelo has taken that trait to new lengths!

Now that’s a snoot! Tupelo, who is known as Tupe to her family, is owned by Allison Cannarsa-Barr Jersey City, New Jersey. Allison set up a dedicated Instagram page to feature Tupe’s incredible snoot. So far more than 78,000 people have subscribed for frequent updates on Tupe’s needle nose.

Tupe is an extremely playful dog who loves her stuffed animals and toys. She had her first taste of internet fame when a video of her stealing treats at the dog park went viral, and her popularity has continued to climb ever since.

“She cracks us up all the time,” Allison said. “Borzoi are known for being elegant and refined, [but] Tupe is an absolute goof and we wouldn’t want it any other way.”

While Tupe’s snoot is very long and impressive, it’s not technically the “longest snoot in the world.” That honor goes to another borzoi named Eris, who lives in Richmond, Virginia. More than 187,000 people follow Eris on Instagram, so clearly there’s a huge demand for pictures of long-nosed dogs on the internet. Who knew?

Even though Tupe’s snoot isn’t quite as long as Eris’s, there’s no denying that it’s a big schnoz. Allison calls it “a snoot of epic proportions,” and we have to agree! Check out this profile pic:

These dogs are so majestic! Their long, slender faces give their faces so much character. It’s little wonder that people can’t get enough of these super snoots.
