Whoever coined the phrase “fighting like cats and dogs” clearly never met these four-legged siblings! A proud pet owner recently shared a beautiful story on Reddit about how much their cat and dog seem to love each other. While the pooch was under the weather, the thoughtful cat decided to share his toys with his big brother. He brought a worm-shaped plushy over to where the dog was resting up, and their owner couldn’t resist taking an adorable picture!
“My dog has been sick and is on vet-mandated couch-rest,” reads the caption. “His little cat brother has been tending to him by bringing him his (meaning the cat’s) worm toys. Dog brother is very confused as to why the cat keeps bringing him these.”
In an update, the original poster shared another photo of the sick pup. Also pictured were several more worm toys, courtesy of the caring cat!
“Brother dog has been having some health issues but we’re lucky to have such a fantastic vet and live-in cat nurse. I’d say he’s got an A+ medical team,” joked the pet owner.
