People love optical illusions. We have been enraptured by Maurits Cornelis Escher’s paintings and drawings forever. As a graphic artist, M.C. It’s a table that seems to be set up at a corner near what appears to be a public charging station. Or is it? The table could have multiple uses. On a nice day, people using the charger could stand beside their vehicle and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. They could grab a sandwich and have a quick bite while they charge up their electric vehicle. Or set up a laptop and check a few work emails.
But then the illusion gets shattered when the tabletop completely disappears, leaving the random pole. It’s there, standing guard over the corner and protecting the mystery rectangular thingamabob. Now we’re wondering if that is a charging station. What is that strange thing? Wait! What? Now the table is back? Whoa. Back up. Watch that again.
The original poster of the table illusion decided to have some fun. She sent her husband to the parking lot to check it out. That led to a second, equally incredible video that will make you smile.
He could stand on the table, precariously balanced for a moment. Then, he shattered the illusion by simply walking off. He should have entertained us with some parkour moves, at least. We still have no clue what the rectangular thingamabob is, but the table remains intact.
Please share if this simple table illusion momentarily confuses your sense of reality.
