Rumer Willis Shared a Sweet Update on Bruce Willis
Rumer Willis, 37, spoke about her relationship with Bruce Willis during a recent appearance on The Inside Edit podcast. “I’m so grateful I get to go see him. Even though it’s different now, I’m so grateful,” she said.
Rumer added that her dad is still there, but things are definitely not as they were for most of her life.
“There’s a sweetness. He’s always been this kind of macho dude, and there’s like a – fragile is not the right word, but – just a tenderness that maybe being Bruce Willis might not have allowed him in a certain way,” Rumer shared.
Frontotemporal dementia is a tough disease for the patient and their family. The Willises are lucky; they have a big, blended family that truly loves each other. Demi Moore, Rumer, and her sisters, Tallulah and Scout, spend a lot of time with Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis. They’ve also embraced Bruce and Emma’s girls, Mabel and Evelyn. Emma has become quite the advocate for caregivers and released the book, The Unexpected Journey, about her life with Bruce before and after everything changed.
As the eldest sister, we have to imagine Rumer Willis grieves Bruce Willis a lot. Even by only a few years, she’s known and loved him the longest. Thankfully, they’re all strong for each other and the patriarch of the family.
