On April 11, 2024, an event happened that changed Tilly’s life forever. Tilly is an excitable Australian Kelpie who lives with her mum Annalise in Melbourne, Australia. The thing that changed Tilly’s life forever was that she saw her dog walker in the wild. That may not sound like much, but wait, there’s more.

When Tilly saw her dog walker, she went absolutely bonkers. She was so excited that she could not contain herself. She was bouncing around. Her tail was wagging her entire butt, and she was excitedly chomping at the air. One thing is certain: Tilly loves her dog walker, and it is evident as she vibrates with excitement when he approaches.

Her mum says Tilly is “an unemployed working dog.” By that, she probably means that Tilly is a working breed, specifically bred to herd sheep. Kelpie is one of the many herding dogs bred in Australia. They are active and have seemingly endless energy. When Annalise reshared the original video, it immediately went viral AGAIN. Amassing over 1 million “likes” in one week, the response was not expected.

There is proof that Tilly can be a relaxed and gentle dog.

The original post a year ago amassed 35.8 million views, 2.6 million “likes,” and netted Annalise 20,000 new friends. But that wasn’t the only time Tilly had seen her favorite guy in the wild. During a second encounter, Tilly acted the same way when she caught sight of her dog walker. He seems equally happy to see Tilly, giving her lots of love.

Kelpies are very loyal dogs. It is no surprise that Tilly is excited to see her dog walker. Once they form a bond, humans become their “herd.”
