With so many beautiful flowers in their possession, it simply didn’t feel right to let them go to waste. So, the couple took them somewhere they knew the flowers would be greatly appreciated. If you’ve ever worked at or visited a nursing home, you understand well just how much this donation will mean to them.

“You have no idea how much the residents appreciate gestures like these! Speaking from [my experience as an] activities director of 10 yrs in nursing homes,” one person says, another adding, “I work in a nursing home and we get weekly drop offs from local stores that would have otherwise been trash, they wait by the door for those flowers.”

Now, this couple’s story is serving as inspiration for others. In fact, a conversation has started in the comments about the other places wedding flowers can be donated.

“I took mine to the cemetery & put them on graves that didn’t have any,” one woman share, another saying, “Mine went to a cemetery and funeral home.”
