The popular TikTok trend of getting kids to eat veggies is often credited to user sahmthingsup. The stay-at-home mom may or may not have started the trend, but she has been the most successful at promoting it. The basic concept of this trend is to “chomp” leafy greens the way dinosaurs would.

Eating veggies becomes fun when you can grab a handful of spinach or Romaine lettuce and devour it. No fork, no bowl, no salad dressing, no prep time; just grab and chomp-chomp-chomp. Many adults find the trend a helpful way to “veggie pack” before a meal. They can move on to the “real” meal they enjoy by quickly eating a handful of greens and getting it out of the way.

For kids, the attraction to this style of eating is obvious. They get to pretend to be a dinosaur and be messy. There are no table manners and no rules beyond chomp-chomp-chomp. Some families have turned Dinosaur Time into a competition. Dinosaur Time works equally well with littles, tweens, and teens. It works with adults, too. If you’re a parent having trouble getting your family to eat leafy veggies, try Dinosaur Time.

Eating Veggies With Your Kids Has Health Benefits

Adding leafy greens to your daily routine has many health benefits. They contain vitamins A, C, K, and folate, as well as minerals, including calcium, magnesium, iron, and potassium. Leafy veggies contain fiber, which aids in healthy digestion, reduces bloating and inflammation, and can help regulate blood sugar. Additionally, they are a natural detoxifier, support brain health, strengthen bones, and reduce the risk of heart disease and other chronic health conditions.

Try Dinosaur Time with your family.
