The Swedish royal family had a big celebration on April 30. Not only did King Carl XVI Gustaf turn 79 years old, but the family also introduced the newest princess in Sweden. During a balcony appearance in Stockholm, Princess Sofia held her daughter, Princess Ines, in her arms. Ines is Sofia’s fourth child and first daughter with her husband, Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland. Ines joined her brothers, Prince Alexander, 9, Prince Gabriel, 7, and Prince Julian, 4, in February. The boys are fifth, sixth, and seventh in line for the Swedish throne.

The Princess Was A Wonderful Blessing For Sweden
The Swedish royal family posted a photo of Princess Ines on Instagram on February 10 captioned “Princess Ines photographed by Princess Sofia.”
Followers loved seeing the beautiful baby girl and some couldn’t help but point out how lucky the family must have felt to add a little girl to their brood.
“She is soooooo cute. She is a little princess with three older brothers who are her bodyguards,” soeoen wrote.
