“The Coal Miner’s Daughter” Loretta Lynn Told Miranda Lambert To Enjoy Every Minute

“Loretta Lynn said if you don’t go live your life, you’re not going to have anything to write about, and so I’ve done it,” she said.

Miranda explained that as she grew older, she really understood what Loretta meant.

“When I started going on the road and having boyfriends and playing shows all over the country, I started really writing from my own perspective a lot.”

She added, “But I think that’s the draw of country music, especially if it’s truth…I mean it’s crying in your beer and your dog died and your wife left you and that’s what it is. So I feel like I always wanted to be a truth-teller, a storyteller, but stories that were of the truth, good, bad, and ugly, and some of that you had to live, which wasn’t the fun part.”

Fans shared their love for Miranda in the comments.

Someone wrote, “Always the real deal is Miranda. She tells it straight away. Country music would be missing a lot without her in it. She has been the modern-day bedrock every female artist goes by. She is still the one.”

This person agreed and said Miranda brought them back to country music. “This was awesome, you’re so real. Fan forever. I’m a deadhead, phishhead, Volta head, pretty lights head… your music is permeating to bring everyone aboard. Now I love you and Lainey, country’s cool again!!!”
