Meteorologist Jumps for Joy on Live TV for Sweetest Reason

Jay Jeffries

Jay Jefferies is the chief meteorologist at Fox 59 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Viewers love his sweet demeanor and fun approach to the weather. They also love Jay’s zest for daily life. He went viral not too long ago because of his reaction during a live broadcast. Jay stood on a patch of grass near a busy road and tried to get people to honk at him, just like little kids do. He put his arm in the air, waving and pulling down, hoping that someone would blow their horn for him. But after a while, Jay became discouraged.

“They ain’t paying me no attention,” Jay said. “Nobody loves me.”

Then a Trucker Made Jay Jeffries’ Day

Just when it looked like he might give up, a trucker passed by and blew his horn loud and proud for Jay.

“I did it; I did it man,” Jay Jeffies cheered as he jumped up and down. “I got one! YEAH!”

It was no surprise that the wholesome moment caught the eyes of millions. It’s so darn sweet.

“Lmao does he realize when ppl did this it was ONLY to 18 wheelers bc they’re the ones who have horns you gotta pull? Bc that’s probably why little him was unsuccessful lol lol. This was so cute,” someone wrote.

“Honking the horn in a truck is the same as revving a lambo both bring joy :)” Another person wrote.

This Instagrammer shared a sweet story of their own.

“I was surrounded by dump truck drivers as a child & going to school every morning, the bus would cross path with many I knew (the quarry wasn’t far). They would always ignore kids doing that out of the window for safety reasons but if they saw me out the window asking for it, honk honk they went!! The bus driver eventually figured out it was me & I got called to the principal’s office,” they wrote.

In a world where you can be anything, be a Jay Jeffries and spread joy. We need more of that in this world.
