The little guy went viral when his mom, Monica, posted a clip from the milestone day. It showed Teddy sitting in his high chair while the guests sang “Happy Birthday.”

While most babies would clap and smile to the music and attention, Teddy was over it. He sat for a minute with the most unamused expression. Then, he slowly and dramatically dropped his head and faceplanted on the table in front of him. The guests could hardly stop laughing enough to get through the song.

Monica posted the clip on March 12, and it has already gained over 21 million views. People can’t help but smile over how much they relate to the baby’s mood.

“Me too, Teddy. Me. Too,” someone commented.

“Exactly how I feel every year on my bday,” another person wrote.

“We understand Teddy… We understand,” someone commiserated. “😂 God bless him he’s too cute ☺️”

Baby Teddy Has The Soul Of An “Old Man”

KKTV News reached out to Teddy’s parents after the video went viral to ask for the backstory. They said the reaction was right on par with their baby’s personality, so they weren’t surprised he wasn’t into the celebration.

“I feel like he’s just a grumpy old man who’s been reincarnated,” Monica joked.

“He’s just got this very unimpressed look on his face at all times,” Teddy’s dad, Collin, added.

Fortunately, the adorable baby did perk up later and enjoyed his birthday cake. Monica posted a follow-up video that showed Teddy just after he suffered through “Happy Birthday,” and it showed him playing with the frosting on his baseball birthday cake.

Teddy didn’t seem to care much for the taste of the frosting, but he certainly enjoyed making a mess, as all babies should!
