As we get older, it’s easy to lose the sense of magic we feel about the world around us. One way parents hold onto their own sense of wonderment is by creating magical moments for their kids — this is exactly what Chinook did when he had his daughter, Luna, take special care of a pine cone. This adorable little girl was careful as she “watered” the pine cone, which had been decorated with Christmas lights and placed inside a small cup.

In doing so, Luna was told that while she slept that night, the moon would help transform this tiny pine cone into a large, beautiful Christmas tree. Considering the little one’s name, the entire event couldn’t have been more fitting.
As soon as Luna walked into the room the next morning, her eyes lit up with wonder. In place of the pine cone she took care of was a perfectly lit Christmas tree. Amazed, she simply sat in front of it for a while, admiring what she and the Moon had created together.
