One family made some shelter dogs very happy with their generous donation! According to the Arizona Humane Society on Facebook, the Russos came by with treats and toys for every single pooch at the Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain Campus. An adorable video shows the family stopping to visit with the sweet shelter dogs, showering them with love and gifts. You’ve never seen so many tails wagging in one place before!
In their caption, the Arizona Humane Society shared that the Russos had a very special reason for their shelter donation. Beloved wife and mother Hollyann Russo passed away from pancreatic cancer, so her family decided to do something beautiful in her honor. She had always loved animals and was a proud supporter of the Humane Society. Before her death, she asked her family to continue helping her four-legged friends in her absence.
“Thank you to Robert, Alex, Sammy, Nicky and Hollyann Russo for all you do to support the Valley’s most vulnerable pets, in this life and the next!” read the Facebook post.
We’re so glad the Russo family is keeping Hollyann’s memory alive with their shelter donations. It’s always wonderful to see people caring for animals in need!
