Drone operator John Yanchoris recorded over the open ocean near Honeymoon Island State Park in Dunedin, Florida. Below his drone swam a large manta ray and a lone man on a blue and white paddleboard.

The breathtaking video shows a manta ray hovering near the water’s surface as a paddleboard enters the frame. In one swift motion, the manta ray dives to swim under the paddleboard. Water splashes the man on the paddleboard, and you can see him lean over to watch this magnificent animal. The manta ray zigs back to cross in front of the paddleboard, still visible under the clear water. The clarity of the video shows the paddleboarder’s amazement as he follows the ray’s movement.
