If there is one thing we’ve learned about Taylor Swift, it’s that she uses her life and experience as inspiration for her songwriting. Taylor is arguably one of the best lyricists of all time, unabashedly crafting stories about love and loss in a way that speaks to fans’ souls. Even though her songs tell incredible stories, she doesn’t like to give out too much detail about who they are about. Of course, fans speculate about every single detail on her albums and come up with incredible theories. Many have long believed Travis Kelce was the inspiration behind Taylor Swift’s So High School lyrics, and he may have proven that’s the case.

Travis Kelce Dropped A Subtle Nod To Taylor Swift Lyrics On His Podcast
While Travis Kelce didn’t actually mention the Taylor Swift lyrics, he and Jason Kelce were talking about American Pie on New Heights, and fans started chirping. The brothers bantered about rated R movies, and Travis said, “The one I remember watching that I didn’t even realize was rated R was American Pie, and that was when we were, like, 10,” he said. I feel like I had to have watched a couple before that.”
Astonished, Jason wondered how Travis saw the movie without their parents’ knowledge. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end said he probably went with someone, too.
A fan noticed Travis Kelce’s reference and shared the lyrics to So High school on X. “I’m watching ‘American Pie’ with you on a Saturday night.”
“This is so relatable lol. I feel like all of us watched that movie before we should’ve,” someone wrote.
Another person mentioned a common old-time scheme, “You bought a ticket for another movie around the same time and then switched theaters. Definitely did that as a kid. Not at 10 though!”
If things continue the way they are, we’re sure we’ll see Taylor Swift write a lot more lyrics about Travis Kelce and their romance.
