Daughter Felt “Weird” Because Of New Hearing Device, So Dad Got A Tattoo That Made All The Difference.

Charlotte Campbell is a six-year-old girl who just had a procedure for her second cochlear implant – a new type of hearing device that has to be surgically implanted – and was having trouble dealing with being different from the other kids.

It’s hard to go through something like that as a child.  It makes you feel weird and uncomfortable.

In a beautiful example of love and support, her dad Alistair got one too – in the form of a tattoo.

Both Charlotte’s mother and brother wear hearing aids- so the family wasn’t surprised to discover Charlotte’s hearing needs.  But, as evidenced by their dad’s tattoo, they were quick to make Charlotte feel special.

“It has changed her life being given the gift of sound,”Alistair said when asked about Charlotte’s journey.

Apparently the tattoo took 45 minutes and was a little painful, but Alistair is glad he did it. His daughter loved the idea and instantly felt more at peace.
