When a group of vacationers in Fiji embarked on a boat ride near Beqa Lagoon Resort, they had no idea that they were in for an extra special treat! During their excursion, a mother humpback whale decided to swim right by the vessel, giving the tourists a closer look at the majestic creature. To make the moment even more magical, the Miami Herald tells us that she had her two calves with her! The lucky tourists were delighted to have had such a beautiful encounter with local marine life.
Beqa Lagoon Resort shared the vacationers’ experience on Facebook, along with footage of the humpback whale sighting. However, they added that this wasn’t the day’s only unique animal experience.
“We also had a group of playful dolphins that followed our dive boat as we were heading back to the resort,” said the post. “What a unique and fun day.”
