If we really think about how much of the Earth’s surface is covered in water, it’s incredible. More than 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered by ocean water. Inside those waters live hundreds of thousands of creatures just minding their own business and enjoying the waves. A group of boaters in Lahaina, Hawaii, recently got a glimpse of a pod of whales frolicking in the water. The scene looked like something out of a movie. Three whales breached the waters near their boat as the sky shone a glorious blue behind them.

The Whales and Boaters Seemed to Exist in Separate Worlds
Even though they were just yards away from each other, the Whales and the boaters appeared to be in different worlds. It’s truly an incredible sight to see these very different worlds nearly collide. It’s so rare to have such a close-up view of something so majestic. We can’t imagine the emotions the boaters felt as they watched the whales.
ABC News shared the video on Instagram, and it positively enamored followers.
“I remember seeing them in Lahaina, too, 3 years ago. One of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen,” someone wrote.
Many have taken similar trips out into the ocean in hopes of seeing whales, but didn’t get as lucky as these boaters.
“I have been out whale watching 3 times with no luck. Congrats to these people for witnessing such a marvel,” someone wrote.
Others just marveled at creation and how lucky they are to be able to see it all.
“For people saying it’s AI. It is not. This is very common this time of year. It’s whale season still in Hawaii. They play and give a good show. Very real,” a comment reads.
“Beautiful! Creation (not made by human hands) is exceptionally Beautiful!” Another person wrote.
