But celebrating her mom Jessica’s birthday is tricky, because she passed away two years ago of a pulmonary embolism. She would’ve turned 30 on April 28, and in the weeks leading up to that milestone, little Bella was growing more and more anxious.

When staff there heard the story about this sweet little girl who just wanted to make sure her mom got to eat her homemade birthday cake, they, of course, were more than happy to oblige.

“She was so happy, she gave me a high five and said, ‘Mommy’s getting her birthday cake, she’s going to have a party!’”recalled Laura, who noted that the post office handles countless letters to Santa every year, and “Heaven isn’t that much further.â€
“They have no idea how much it meant to her, to be able to do that for her mom,”she added.
