Usually, when you give a baby a smash cake on their first birthday, you expect them to start destroying it. However, one little guy had a different approach, and it was so cute that it brought his mom to tears! On this child’s first birthday, he got his very own small cake brought to his high chair. Family members filmed the moment, waiting for him to start playing with his food. Instead, he started gently removing pieces of fruit from the top of the cake and feeding them to his mom!
“Crying for you right now!!” wrote one commenter on the video. “It’s like he knew all of the sacrifice you made in his first year and this is how he thinks to repay you.”
Another added, “Your child has a gift. He’s going to be empathetic and very giving. He’s grateful at such a young age. He’s going to be an amazing human.”
