“An adorable snow leopard cub named Juniper was treated to her first pumpkin during Halloween-themed enrichment at the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, Michigan,” ABC News shared on Instagram.

This Baby Snow Leopard Went Crazy Over Her Pumpkin

The snow leopard cub played with her new pumpkin just like a kitten would. She chewed it and dragged it around while a dutiful mother looked on just to be sure there was no trouble. And when it was time to go to bed, her mother took it away for the night. Of course, seeing the cub made many animal lovers smile.

“They’re so beautiful. The size of their paws,” someone wrote.

“How gorgeous is this little Snow Leopard??? Watching animals play is one of my favorite things to do! Enrichment is so important,” another person shared.

Of course, there were some little jokes about the snow leopard’s Halloween fun.

“Mom said she’ll be up all night with this…give it here lol,” someone wrote.

The video made some sad to see the animals in captivity. Like this person who wrote, “Super cute but it breaks my heart to see them living in a cement enclosure.”

But this person made an excellent point about the zoo.

“Zoos are incredibly important for conservation and education. Most animals in Zoos were injured and can’t be released or were born in captivity. Animals in captivity also get enrichment and typically live longer than in the wild. Stop fighting against zoos,” they wrote.
