It’s been a big week for royal babies. Princess Beatrice, the granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth, and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, announced the birth of their second baby. Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi joins big sister Sienna and brother Wolfie. But Athena isn’t the only new royal baby on the block. A little prince also made his grand entrance recently. According to the Belgian Royal Palace, the newest prince made his debut on January 26th.

The Royal Baby News Shocked Many
According to Hello!, it seems Maria Laura kept her pregnancy a secret, so the announcement came as a bit of a shock. The palace shared the news on X in a post captioned,
“Princess Maria Laura and Mr. William Isvy are delighted to announce the birth of their son, Albert, born on Sunday 26th January in Brussels. Albert weighs 3.5 kg and is doing well, just like his mother. The families of the young parents share in their happiness.”
The Instagram account @royalchildren_europe shared the couple’s big news and many congratulated them on their baby boy. The caption reads, “Princess Maria Laura of Belgium and William Isvy shared this picture of their first child, Albert Isvy (then 3 days old) to announce his birth on January 26th, 2025, in Brussels, Belgium -January 29th, 2025. His cheeks are so cute.”
A follower wrote, “Congratulations on the birth of your child and grandchild, we wish him a lot of health and happiness.”
Another said of the royal baby, “Sweet angel of innocence may an angel be with you always welcome to the world god bless you, child.”
“Congratulations, Big family, it’s a pretty boy.”
