A Pawesome Adventure! Dog Goes Missing And Ends Up Winning 3rd Place At Competition.

While Paula and Peter Closier were desperately looking for their missing 5-year-old beagle-cross, Bonnie, their beloved four-legged child found herself at a dog show.

The talented pup began her adventure just after Peter and Paula began to feed her and Cleo, her sister. Peter momentarily left them and, when he returned, discovered that Bonnie was missing. They searched the house, but it quickly became clear that she was gone.

“I was walking back to the kitchen when I saw the gate had swung and I thought, ‘Oh no,'” Peter said.

That’s when Paula decided to write a post on in a Facebook group for Horsham, England locals. In it, she asked for help to find Bonnie ASAP.

After hours of searching, Paula finally spotted a Facebook post that brought her peace back: Someone had found Bonnie!

A man named John Wilmer posted a picture of Bonnie in the back of his car. Once John was able to let Bonnie’s humans know that she was safe, he did the next logical thing – He entered her into a dog competition! He was already in his way with his own dogs, after all!

When Paula and Peter finally reunited with Bonnie, they were very surprised to see a third place rosette attached to her neck. Turns out, in addition to entering the competition, she also won third place for “best rescue dog!”

“Bonnie was absolutely fine when she got back,” said Peter. “She just thought she was having a great day out.”

Looks like Bonnie had quite an adventure! We just hope she doesn’t decide to run away again for the sake of her parents’ mental health.

Don’t forget to share this article to congratulate Bonnie on her much-deserved win.
