When a Washington candy store left their doors open to attract customers, they weren’t expecting any of the four-legged variety! A couple of days ago, a deer wandered into Buddy and Howie’s Candy Store in Ocean Shores, much to the surprise of the other shoppers. The critter browsed through their saltwater taffy selection before abruptly darting back outside. It’s possible that the deer simply didn’t have enough doe.
Jenn Strobel, the owner of Buddy and Howie’s, thinks the animal might have run off with a piece of candy — not that she really minds!
“The only damage done was he might have got a piece of wonderful taffy!” she said to KOMO News.
The business included a couple of photos from the deer’s visit on Facebook, where they joked, “I think we have a taffy thief on our hands.”
