Robin Williams was born in 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. Although he eventually attended The Juilliard School, he never graduated. He flourished as a nightclub performer, where he was discovered and cast as “Mork from Ork.” That Happy Days episode in 1978 led to the spin-off, Mork & Mindy (1978). His first movie role was portraying Popeye in 1980.

Although rooted in comedy, Robin Williams received acclaim as a dramatic actor in several feature films. He won an Academy Award for “Good Will Hunting” in 1997 as Best Actor in a Supporting Role. As an actor, he has 113 credits, including voice work for several Disney animated movies. He was also active as a writer and director. Robin Williams was so beloved that nothing he was associated with “flopped,” even when the reviews said otherwise.

Robin Williams was a dedicated performer on the United Service Organization (USO) circuit. He spent time entertaining our troops during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and more.

When the actor passed away in 2014, his audience mourned. The man who kept us all smiling was no longer laughing, and it stung. The world shifted that day. When we hear the impression of Robin Williams from Jim Meskimen, it takes us back to a happier time. Jim’s impression is too perfect.

Spot-On Robin Williams Impression Hits The Heart

The comments under the TikTok post tell the story. One comment reads, “that was not an impression, this man is a medium that channeled Robin.” One person reported feeling their brain produce serotonin while listening. Every comment expresses a love for the man who made us all laugh. For many, the perfect impression brought fresh tears of mourning for Robin Williams.

On his album, Reality, What a Concept, he did a quick bit as Mr. Rogers. While the subject of that routine wasn’t exactly “neighborhood” material, he would have done a stellar job portraying the man. Where Mr. Rogers taught a generation to treat each other well, Robin Williams taught us how to laugh at ourselves and live well.

Robin Williams’ death saddened most adults in the world. He was always there for us until he wasn’t. To hear him again through Jim Meskimen brings out all the feels. Thank you for that, Jim. Follow Jim on TikTok for more of his perfect impressions.
