Yet when the cameras roll, some people seem to lose all of their skills. Sometimes, the poor Wheel of Fortune players miss a puzzle that people think is a slam dunk and end up turning the game over to an opponent. A contestant named James Mulaney recently appeared on Wheel of Fortune, and it looked like solving the puzzle would be simple. The board said, “_L_ING ON A MAGIC CARPET.” With two letters left, James guessed ‘B,’ and that was the end for him.

A Fellow “Wheel Of Fortune” Contestant Had No Trouble Solving The Puzzle
Elsie Pierce was up next following James’ fumble, and solving the puzzle helped her become the Wheel of Fortune champ. She went on to the bonus round and easily solved the final puzzle.
After Wheel gave her letters and she chose her own, Elsie ended up with “FLO_N_ER_N_ _ _O_T.” In seconds, Elsie yelled, “Floundering About.”
Ryan Seacrest showed Elsie her $40,000, which gave her a grand total of $67,427. Not bad for a day’s work.
“I’m so happy,” she said.
“And you were fast,” an amazed Ryan complimented.
Fans congratulated the Wheel of Fortune contestant for easily solving the challenging puzzle.
“Oddly enough, the ‘F’ was the right letter to pick and so was the ‘O’ as vowel, and Elsie did follow the Cardinal Rule on safe letter not to choose on What Are You Doing and very good solve by Elsie winning $40,000, nice job by her,” one wrote.
“Way to go, Elise, congrats on your win and your success on the bonus round of ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ You deserve it 40$00,” another fan agreed.
