8. Take advantage of school events.

Free food. Free t-shirts. People everywhere. Yes. I have a million t-shirts from campus events and they have become my pjs, so what could be better, really? There are always campus events going on serving awesome grub and you can meet people no matter what time of the year it is. My school’s welcome week was offering popsicles, personalized Coke cans, Mexican food, and tons of freebies so it’s definitely a highlight of the year every year and a guaranteed win-win. I went to free jazz, broadway musical, and dance performances, and even won tickets to a Mavs game. You should try to support your school’s athletic events, too. I once danced through my school’s homecoming dance floor to make an appearance, so spontaneity is always encouraged.
