10. Learn to cook.
via Elite Daily
I promise it’s easier than it seems. You’re gonna be eating out. A lot. Most college kids keep up this habit the entire time they’re in school. But I quickly learned it was expensive to keep doing that, and luckily, I lived in an apartment with a kitchen all 4 years of college. Cooking your own food is actually really fun and it’s healthier, if you’re not always making french fries. It’s as easy as looking up a recipe on Food Network or taking some notes from your parents. I had the best time making goodies like crepes, cake, cupcakes, shrimp curry, and chicken tikka masala with my friends. It made me reconsider what food I do pay for and what’s worth buying, like pizza. Yes, pizza is always worth it.

If you have a meal plan, consider sharing the wealth. I had more meals allotted to me in one semester than I could possibly finish so I’d swipe in my friends to join me.
