William Kate Dog

The royal family has many passions. They love music, sports, and animals. They’re particularly fond of dogs and have long been pet owners. Princess Kate and Prince William adore dogs and have a special place in their hearts for cocker spaniels. Kate’s brother, James Middleton, gave them their puppy Lupo as a wedding gift.  Sadly, the dog passed away in 2020, but Kate and William adopted a black cocker spaniel named Orla the same year. On May 1, 2026, Princess Kate and Prince William introduced a brand new member of the family, a handsome cocker spaniel named Otto.

William and Kate’s New Dog Has Been with The Family for a While

Otto came from one of Orla’s litters in 2025. Kate and William just couldn’t let the darling dog go, so they chose to adopt him. Otto made his debut on social media in 2026, and people can’t get over how precious this pup is. The photo looks like he’s straight out of a fancy photo shoot. Otto looks right into the camera with his deep brown eyes as his hair blows in the wind. Kate and William’s dog has supermodel written all over him.

Whenever animals are involved, royal enthusiasts can’t wait to comment. As soon as they saw Otto, they congratulated the royals on their new addition.

“Welcome to the family, Otto! 1 today,” Kate and William shared on Instagram.

“What a lucky dog ,” someone wrote. “I’m sure he adores George, Louis, and Charlotte.”

“Hello Otto, you’ve been welcomed in to the most beautiful family in the whole world,” another person added.

This person let Kate and William’s new dog know just how lucky he is.

“Hello Otto, you lucky dog, you are royalty now, and you get to live with an amazing family!” They wrote.
