In her clip, the mom revealed that her two-year-old son had struck up the most wholesome friendship with his 88-year-old grandpa as a result of the move. Apparently, these two watch old Western movies together every night! It has really warmed Mom’s heart to see the elderly man spending time with the little boy instead of being alone. Her footage of the precious duo watching television together is way too cute! You can view the video here.
“POV: you decide to move in with your 88-year-old grandpa after your grandma passes away and now he spends his evenings watching old Westerns with your two-year-old instead of by himself,” the woman wrote over the clip.
Living with Grandpa has its ups and downs, but he’s worth it!
In her caption, the mom admitted that her new living situation isn’t always easy. However, it’s totally worth the effort to be able to offer her grandfather some much-needed companionship.
“Being there for family when they need you — and when they don’t — is something I will never regret,” she wrote. “It’s hard, I won’t lie. Balancing a newborn who needs me constantly, a toddler navigating big emotions, a grandpa who’s hard of hearing, and dogs that seem to bark at the worst times… patience is tested daily.”

She concluded, “But I would give every last ounce of it for the man who has given me nothing but love and patience my entire life.”
Not everyone would uproot their whole life in order to move in with their grandpa. It must have taken some serious courage for this mom to make such a huge decision! As a result, though, her family is growing closer in ways she could have never imagined. That sounds like a pretty good deal!
