Flavor Flav Makes Big Mistake As Guest Judge on “DWTS”

Flavor Flav

Flavor Flav might just be public enemy number one after his November 4 appearance on Dancing with the Stars. The 66-year-old Rapper and founding member of Public Enemy brought a lot of fun to the show with his signature giant clock and positive attitude. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night was a lot of fun for the dancers and judges. But some DWTS fans got upset with Flav after Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy danced. Judges Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba all awarded Alix and Val a perfect 10. Flavor Flav gave the pair a 9, which he claims was a terrible mistake.

Flavor Flav Said DWTS Officials Wouldn’t Allow Him To Change The Score

After DWTS ended, Flavor Flav told People about his mistake.

“I gave them a nine, which was an accident. I really wanted to give them a 10, but they wouldn’t let me change it,” he said.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame rapper said he begged to make the change.

“I went, ‘No. No, that was an accident. I don’t want to give them a nine—I want to give them a 10.’ But they was like, ‘Flavor, it’s already locked in. You can’t change it.’ I’m like, ‘Oh man,’” Flavor Flav said.

Flavor Flav told People he was looking for “precision” and “preciseness,” and the DWTS teams brought the heat.

Plenty of fans felt like Flav may not have been the best choice to judge the show, even though they love him as a person.

“Love him but should not have been a judge..would love to see him on the dance floor though,” a fan wrote.

“I like him but I feel like at this stage of the competition they should have guest judge who actually knows dancing,” another person agreed.

But some thought Flavor Flav brought a much-needed levity to DWTS.

“Unpopular opinion: I loved him as a guest judge? he was chaotic and fun in a good way, didn’t sexually harass anyone, and he was FUN!!!! HAVE SOME FUN PEOPLE,” they shared.
